He can never leave his drama behind.

4 Stars

Mine for Now, is the first book in the Wild Love series and it was my first time reading any of Erika Kelly's work.  The story is a college romance that centers around the characters of Nicole and Dylan.  This book takes you on quite a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows.

Nicole's character is incredibly like-able, intriguing and endearing.  She's an incredibly strong character, very individual, a little bit quirky and quite tenacious, with a huge heart.   Nicole is a character who does what she thinks is right, and does't let anyone's opinion sway her behavior or opinions, it's one of the facets of her character that I really loved.   She has an interesting relationship with her family and I loved watching it evolve as the book progressed.

Dylan on the other hand, is an incredibly flawed character that frustrated the hell out of me, I found so many of his behaviors to be annoying.  Although his character did grow on me and, I found myself pulling for him, hoping he would see past the manipulations, machinations and guilt his mother threw at him. Dylan is a caregiver, he's incredibly loyal, and committed to his family.  Old habits are very hard for Dylan to break. as more of his life and family situation was shared throughout the story I really felt for him and his situation.  He was made to grow up way too soon to survive the toxic situation he grew up with.

Although Dylan and Nicole share a connection and chemistry, Dylan often leads her one but also tries to keep her at arms length.  They are inexplicably drawn to each other, both damaged by their pasts and have way more in common than just sharing a living space.

I loved some of the side characters in this book in particular James, Nicole and Dylan's flamboyant and loyal friend and roommate and Nicole's family.  I couldn't stand Kelsi or Dylan's mother, such  manipulative and self serving women.

Overall this is a well written book that focuses on love, loyalty, trust, friendship and family.  A really enjoyable story about finding yourself and seeing that you aren't defined by situation or circumstances.  I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Cinderella never had to deal with this crap.

Jane isn't entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn't she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes---or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire---maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn't anyone's dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk---even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it's karmic retribution that he's tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can't have. But while they can't have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . . .

To celebrate this AMAZING release, Rachel would like to offer ONE LUCKY WINNER an Epic Prize!

If you are looking for a good, steamy, Southern set romance with true Southern dialect, she’s your girl.
