Waiting To Fall - Alyson Reynolds - Release Blitz & Review

Title: Waiting to Fall
Series: Waiting Duet #2
Author: Alyson Reynolds
Genre: New Adult/Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 16, 2017

Finn Crawford never thought his life would change with one stupid dare. Or that he would make the mistake of taking things too far with his twin sister’s best friend. Now he’s fighting off an attraction he didn’t expect.

Cora Donovan doesn’t want a relationship, especially one with the guy who’s always been there for her when she needed it most. Just being in the same room as him makes her body heat up in ways she never thought possible.

There’s only one other thing that might stand in their way of being together, if they can actually figure out how to make it work. Neither of them want to hurt Olivia, and if they broke up, that’s exactly what would happen. Sometimes it’s hard to determine if love is worth the risk.

4 Stars

Waiting to Fall is the second title in The Waiting Duet, and features the main characters of Finn and Cora, and is a friends to lovers romance.  Although you could read this title as a standalone as it focuses on a different set of characters the characters who appear in Waiting to Breathe, are still pivotal to the story line of Waiting to Fall.

Finn and Cora, are both incredibly endearing characters, also at times incredibly frustrating and they are both very stubborn.  Finn is the perfect book boyfriend, very sweet, caring and funny and he has a huge heart.  I adored their intense, yet believable chemistry and their banter, which was fun, flirty and humorous, and I found myself giggling on more than one occasion at their antics.  They torment and needle each other constantly, but in the end they are incredibly supportive of each other.  Their relationship is very special, especially the bond they both share with Finn's twin sister Olivia.

There was a twist in the story line that I didn't anticipate in the slightest, and explains Cora's reluctance to enter into a relationship with anyone, even one of her best friends.

Waiting to Fall is well written and well paced, it's a lovely story of friendship and romance with equal parts drama, angst and heat.  Although this duet was my first time reading anything written by this author it will definitely not be my last.  I would recommend Waiting to Fall, to anyone who enjoys a Young Adult or contemporary romance that is college and friendship based.
