Noah drew in a slow breath, searching for the right words. But they didn’t come. Who knew what those were supposed to be when they’d gone through the heartache that had pitched them together.

 “Teagan.” He pressed them forward until her back met the cedar wood wall. “I have no idea what I’m doing.”

 Her chin tilted up, her lips parting with tiny breaths he wanted to capture with a kiss.

 “And that’s foreign to me.” He towered over her, but he gave her enough space that she could roll away, plenty of room so he could take in more than just her face. But she smelled like flowers. Not sweet but strong and wild. Noah ducked his cheek to hers, brushing his lips close to her ear.

4.5 Stars 

 I'm a huge fan of Cristin's previous titles and this one is somewhat different.  Although i'd class it a romantic-suspense, it's missing the action and intrigue, that I've come to love in her unique plots.  Although in saying that it is still a thoroughly entertaining and engaging book. 

 This is a story of family, former Navy SEAL Noah returns to the town of his upbringing to raise his cousin's orphaned five year old daughter Bella. 

 Bella is adorable, tenacious, precocious and incredibly intelligent.  With Bella comes her best friend Will and his mother Teagan, the school counselor and Noah's confidant and source of advice in all things child rearing. 

 Noah is used to being prepared and planning for every eventuality and he's like a fish out of water when it comes to the daily routine and habits of a young child. 

 Teagan is his saving grace, smart, caring, funny and independent, from friendship, and an initial attraction a deep and intense connection forms.  The sexual tension and chemistry between this pair just oozes off the page. 

 If you enjoy a sweet, fun, feel good story with a touch of suspense then look no further than Noah. 
Although Noah is part of the Seven Brides, for Seven Soldiers it can easily be read as a standalone.
