Craft - Adrianna Locke - Release Blitz & Review

Title: Craft
Series: The Gibson Boys #2
Author: Adriana Locke
Release Date: March 14, 2018

They’re not quite enemies. Not really friends. More like frustrated balls of sexual tension and neither will give in.

Lance Gibson drives Mariah Malarkey absolutely crazy. He uses her office like a phone booth, takes cupcakes from the corner of her desk like she baked them just for him. She didn’t. Maybe she knew the history teacher happened to love peanut butter icing, but that was purely a coincidence. All sixteen times.

Mariah has a way of getting under Lance’s skin too. She calls him out on his crap, spoils him even if inadvertently, and seeing the librarian in skirts drives him wild. She won’t give in. It’s for the best, really, considering there’s no way he could lie to a woman like that and he’s not about to tell her the truth about himself. Not in a million years.

These two don’t hate each other. They don’t really like each other. But for this to be a friends-to-lovers story, they have to start somewhere, right?

Note: This can be read as a standalone novel.

5 Stars
Craft is the second title in the Gibson Boys series, although it can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the previous titles to know all the side characters that are mentioned.  Adriana Locke has once again created characters that are well developed, enigmatic, and endearing.

Lance is an enigmatic and charismatic character.  Although he epitomes a nerdy, history teacher and is incredibly smart, he’s also quite cocky, charming, flirty, commitment-phobe.  He’s also incredibly kind, loyal and compassionate and he genuinely cares about the students he teaches.  He’s very loveable, and adores and is very close to his siblings and family.  He is quite cheeky, and loves to irritate and aggravate, his co-worker Mariah, by invading her personal space and stealing her baked goods.  Lance has his own baggage, and it affects his ability to form long lasting attachments.

Mariah is the school librarian, she’s kind, sweet, caring, compassionate and sassy.  She’s very sharp and quick witted, but introspective and completely unaware of her appeal to the opposite gender.  She’s been demeaned, ridiculed and made to feel lacking by those closest to her, and it’s left her quite insecure and vulnerable to hurt. She desperately wants to find a happy ever after.

The banter this pair shares, draws you into their story.  It’s fun, flirty, witty, playful and argumentative.  This pair love to bicker and razz each other about everything, I’m sure they could argue that the sky is blue, but really it’s a form of verbal foreplay.  The chemistry this pair share is intense and undeniable.

I was completely captivated with Lance and Mariah’s story from the very first page.  I found Craft to be a thoroughly enjoyable sweet, sexy, heart-warming, yet emotion filled story and cannot wait for Machlan’s story next!  Once again Adriana Locke did not disappoint.
