Definite is
the third title in the Soul Serenade series, but it’s actually the first that I
have read in this series, and you can read it as a standalone.
Definite is
a sweet, friends to lovers story featuring Tristan and Lauren. Kaylee Ryan writes alpha men, that make the
perfect book boyfriends and Tristan is no exception. He’s a big hearted rock star, who is kind, tender,
loving, sweet and loving. This drummer epitomizes
what I would label a gentleman.
Honestly I
had mixed feelings regarding Lauren’s character. Whilst she is likeable, her indecision and
insecurities regarding a relationship with someone in the public eye was a bit frustrating
at times.
I quite
enjoyed this fast paced, flirtatious story.
I liked that it’s low on angst and the couple has an instant
connection. There is also an element of suspense that kept
me enthralled and turning the pages.
Although it’s
not necessary to read the previous titles to enjoy Definite, I will be going
back and reading the previous books as I am a huge fan of Kaylee’s writing and
I look forward to the next title in the series.
